Compassionate Inquiry© Sessions
Compassionate Inquiry® (CI) is a psychotherapeutic approach created by Dr. Gabor Maté. This approach gently uncovers and releases the layers of childhood trauma, constriction and suppressed emotion embedded in the body, that are at the root of mental and physical illness and addiction.
CI sessions with me:
Compassionate Inquiry® sessions with me invite 'inquiry' that clients might compassionately come to uncover and process, integrate and heal inner injury, inner woundedness, and address old patterns that no longer serve--healing the rupture in relationship with self, others, and the world.
Throughout a Compassionate Inquiry® session, you will be invited to come into your body, to experience the 'felt sense,' and your own emotional experience. If this is unfamiliar to you, that is perfectly normal, and I will offer support and scaffolding. This approach is a somatic approach, so the body is not 'left out.' CI sessions are also aimed toward repair work, affording clients access to fuller, richer, authentic lives.
**Note that there is no participation with insurance companies, all sessions are private pay. Needs-based sliding scale may be possible, please inquire.
Sessions offered worldwide, online; some space available for in-person sessions, please inquire if this is your preference.
"When we can touch the fear, the sadness, and the anger that underlies suppression and 'othering' and come home to compassion for our own woundedness, our own pain, our own loss, and our perceptions of lack and aloneness, we can heal not only ourselves, but the world."
